If you were called home tonight, what happens to your children, your home and your savings?

Proverbs 13:22 says: “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” Good estate planning leaves your children and their children resources that serve as stepping stones – to pursue their life aspirations, in building bonds of kinship and in serving God.
Yet the news is peppered with many instances of brothers turning against brothers, hauling one another to court to settle inheritance disputes. Stories emerge of unfortunate souls who are saddled with huge debts when their elderly relatives depart after extensive battles with major illnesses. And there are tales of kindness that is repaid with evil when wards sue their guardians over trivialities.

Good estate planning addresses potential pitfalls and leaves wealth that lasts across generations.

In this talk, participants will learn about how the Lasting Power of Attorney, Advance Medical Directive, Advance Care Plan, will, CPF nomination, insurance nomination and trusts come together to form a holistic estate plan.

About the Speaker

Hobart is the author of The Financial Machine. He is a Certified Financial Planner, and has over 10 years of private investing experience. In his book, he offers a unique approach to personal finance by integrating its various disciplines, and presents it from a Christian perspective.

He has spoken on the topic of financial stewardship in several church settings. Prior to his marriage to his wife Eunice, he served as a church council member in his previous church. To further his understanding of Scripture, he took classes in a seminary.

Hobart was deeply impacted by stories of the financial hardships faced by his parents in their growing years. He believes that sound financial education is an important foundation to living life to the full, and that positive change can be brought about through equipping the Body of Christ in the area of financial stewardship
