Marriage brings about the union of lives – with that, an intermingling of finances How a couple manages money profoundly shapes not only their financial stability, but also their ability to pursue shared dreams and live out God’s calling as salt and light in the world.
Yet every couple brings together different upbringings, financial habits, values, and expectations. So how can husbands and wives steward their family finances in a way that is both wise and faithful, honouring God while cultivating harmony at home?
In this talk, we explore biblical principles of financial stewardship and apply them to the real-world complexities of Christian marriage. Through key Scripture passages and practical financial wisdom, we will unpack the essential areas every couple must address—saving, investing, giving, planning for the future—and examine time-tested frameworks that help two very different individuals journey together with clarity and unity.
With a strong financial foundation, couples experience peace, security, and the freedom that comes from stewarding resources well. Healthy finances becomes a blessing that overflows into the marriage: creating a nurturing home, enabling purposeful parenting, reducing conflict. It frees us to pursue meaningful endeavours – serving God, spending time with our family, and engaging with social concerns.
Whether you're a long-married couple or just starting out, this talk will equip you to make informed decisions that honour God with your finances.
