Event: Eyes to See, Ears to Hear: Growing in Spiritual Discernment | Online Event | Speaker: Jeremy Witherow Date:27 MAY Wednesday (Public Holiday) Time: 9:30AM – 1:30PM *GMT +8hrs Venue: ALBY Events via ZOOM Online
Spiritual discernment is an essential dimension of our walk with God, especially for intercessors who are called to stand in prayer with sensitivity and authority.
Through his teaching, Jeremy will unpack for us how discernment is both a cultivated discipline and a spiritual gift, rooted in a relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. And it is the Spirit in us who enables us to perceive and rightly interpret spiritual realities—whether in discerning the condition of people’s hearts, recognising demonic activity, or understanding the voice and direction of God.
At its core, discernment is not reserved for a select few but is available to all Christians who intentionally lean into God. Through the Holy Spirit, we can all grow in spiritual awareness and sensitivity. However, this growth requires maturity, intimacy with God, and a commitment to developing spiritual perception through prayer, Scripture and obedience.
We will also examine the gift of “discerning of spirits” as described in 1 Corinthians, distinguishing it from general discernment. While all believers can grow in discernment, this specific gift operates with heightened clarity and precision in identifying the source and nature of spiritual activity—whether divine, human, or demonic.
Come and learn how discernment becomes a tool for effective prayer, spiritual protection, and faithful obedience to God’s leading.
