Have you ever wondered, “Was that God, or was that just me?

Many Christians genuinely desire to hear God but struggle to distinguish His voice from their own thoughts, emotions, fears—or the voices around them.

Others may have heard powerful stories about supernatural encounters with God but still wonder, “What should I do if God is really speaking to me?”

The good news is that hearing God is not reserved for a spiritual elite. As followers of Jesus, we are invited into a living relationship with the Shepherd who knows us, loves us and speaks to us.

This practical and interactive workshop will help you discover how to recognise God’s voice, grow in discernment and respond to what He is saying. You will have a safe space to ask questions, explore biblical foundations, practise listening and learn from your experiences—even when you get it wrong.

Together, we will explore:

* Why hearing God can be difficult
* What God is really like—and why that matters when we hear Him
* The voices competing for our attention
* Simple, practical ways to listen to God
* How to discern whether what you hear is truly from Him
* Common obstacles to hearing God clearly
* How hearing God can deepen our relationship with Him and transform the way we live

Come with your questions, your doubts and your desire to know God more deeply.

Our speaker, Kenny Rason Tan, will be sharing real-life stories from his own life journey as an itinerant minister, a local church staff, a husband and a father.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Kenny Tan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the National University of Singapore and an M.Div. from the Theological College of Asia. He has served in pastoral and youth ministry and spent more than a decade in itinerant Bible teaching across Asia. Kenny currently serves part-time with Kingdom Community Church and continues his theological education, including assistant teaching Hebrew at the Theological College of Asia. He is passionate about helping people encounter Scripture through careful biblical study and its historical, cultural, geographical, and theological contexts. He has been equipping believers across Asia on Hearing God’s Voice, Fatherhood of God, and Christian Discipleship.

Beyond ministry and theological study, Kenny’s most important calling is at home. He is married to Amy and is fathering their three children. He seeks to integrate his theological learning, ministry, and family life around a simple conviction: that knowing God as Father should shape how we live, lead, teach, and love.
